PSG® To Highlight Pump Technology Designed for Critical Chemical Applications at ACHEMA Show

by PSG | Jun 06, 2018
Oakbrook Terrace, IL, USA – June 06, 2018 – PSG®, a Dover company and a global leader in the manufacture of pumps, systems and related flow-control solutions, is pleased to announce that several of its brands will be exhibiting their market-leading technologies in Hall 8.0, Stands C46 & D37 at the upcoming ACHEMA Show. ACHEMA – which is one of the world’s largest events for the chemical-processing industry – will take place on June 11-15 in Frankfurt, Germany.

When handling raw chemical materials and finished products, many of which can be hazardous to people and the environment, achieving full containment in the most efficient manner possible is a key consideration. PSG helps organizations overcome these challenges with a variety of pump technologies that have been specifically designed to deliver full containment of valuable hazardous materials and optimized production rates.

Specifically, the PSG brands that will be on display at this year’s show include:

• Almatec®: will be highlighting its new C-Series air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump, which has been developed as a low-cost alternative to similar pumps while retaining the reliable solid-design construction typical of Almatec. These pumps feature maintenance and lubrication-free air control systems to help decrease downtime, and do not have drives, rotating parts or shaft seals to cause wear over time. Other features include wetted housing materials such as PE or PTFE, compatibility with other Almatec pump parts, diaphragms and ball valves made of EPDM and PTFE and two connections versions for easy matching to existing installations.

• Blackmer®: will be showing its S Series twin screw pumps, as well as the STX1220A Series sliding vane pump. S Series pumps are double-suction, self-priming pumps with external bearings and timing gear transmission and are especially suitable for the delivery of fluids free of solid substances or with little abrasiveness. Blackmer STX1220A Series pumps feature an external ball bearing construction which self adjusts for wear to maintain flow rate, and has excellent self-priming and dry run capabilities.

• EnviroGear®: will feature its E-Series pump. The E-Series is a magnetically coupled seal-less internal gear pump, featuring a revolutionary and durable design with a patented between-the-bearing support system, effectively eliminating potential leaks. A simple, seven-piece design reduces mechanical wear, helping increase the safety of site personnel and the environment.

• Finder: will be featuring its engineered pumping solutions designed for a wide variety of chemical applications, from the simplest to the most complex. Finder pump solutions are durable and efficient, with models compliant with API 674 to provide the best in reliability and safety.

• Mouvex: will highlight its wide variety of SLC Series eccentric disc pumps. These pumps are ideal for optimizing product-recovery applications because of their ability to pump air, creating a vacuum effect on the pump’s suction side and a compressor effect on the discharge side. This enables Mouvex pumps to recover product from transfer lines at rates of more than 90% on the suction side of the pump, and between 60% to 80% or more on the discharge side, potentially resulting in thousands of dollars in cost savings annually.

• Quattroflow: will be featuring its EZ-Set pressure plate and QF10k Multiple-Use diaphragm quaternary pump. The QF10k pump fills the gap between Quattroflow’s existing QF4400 and QF20k pump sizes, with features and benefits including a new stainless steel pump chamber design, as well as a high flow stability even at low flow rates. The EZ-Set pressure plate is retrofittable on existing standard Single-Use pumps. With its comfortable handgrip design, EZ-Set reduces downtime between batches, and eliminates the need for special tools or torque wrenches.

• Wilden®: will showcase its Pro-Flo® and Pro-Flo® SHIFT Air Distribution Systems (ADS), as well as its Chem-Fuse diaphragm. The Pro-Flo system utilizes advanced ADS technology to increase productivity, reduce energy and air consumption, and minimize maintenance, making it ideal for chemical applications. The Pro-Flo SHIFT is an innovative, yet simple design with an air control spool that automatically optimizes and saves up to 60% in air consumption. The Chem-Fuse Integral Piston Diaphragm (IPD) eliminates potential leak points at the outer piston, making it ideal for pumping of critical or dangerous fluids. The integral piston design also allows for easy cleanability, and eliminates the risk of outer piston abrasion.
