Grand Rapids, MI – January 31, 2022 – Blackmer®, part of PSG®, a Dover company, and a global leader in pump and compressor technologies, announced today the consolidation of all Grand Rapids-based PSG brands under the Blackmer brand name. As part of this change, EnviroGear® product line will be known as Blackmer Gear Pumps.
This change aligns with the Blackmer vision to establish a Rotating Equipment Center of Excellence in PSG Grand Rapids that will allow Blackmer to leverage its 118 years of operating, technological, and innovation excellence to better support its partners and customers.
“Blackmer has a long history of offering a diverse product selection, including sliding vane, screw, centrifugal and regenerative turbine pump and reciprocating compressor technologies,” said Bob Lauson, General Manager for Blackmer. “Bringing internal gear pumps to the Blackmer product portfolio combines brand equity, product advancement and consistency for our range of rotating products.”
The consolidation process will enable superior product advancement and customer support across all PSG brands. All operations, engineering, product development, customer care and supply chain teams will be based at the Grand Rapids facility and will support PSG Rotating Equipment worldwide.
Along with centralizing production and customer services in the expanding plant, technologies under the Blackmer name will be able to leverage over a century of application expertise, quality manufacturing and technological innovation.
