Next generation of single-use pumps for demanding biopharma applications
Duisburg, Germany – November 29, 2022 – Quattroflow®, a brand of PSG®, a Dover company, and a leading brand of positive displacement quaternary diaphragm pumps, is pleased to announce that it has extended its single-use product line of quaternary (four-piston) diaphragm pumps with the introduction of the next-generation QF5kSU. Incorporating a patented valve plate design that improves drainability and venting, the QF5kSU reduces the required minimum flow rate needed to remove entrapped air during priming while providing enhanced product-recovery capabilities and a maximum flow rate of 6,000 lph. These critical design enhancements help make the QF5kSU ideally suited for demanding biopharma applications such as chromatography, TFF, virus filtration, sterile filtration and depth filtration
Additional features and benefits of the QF5kSU pump include a proportional and linear flow performance for optimal precision during flow control; 120:1 turndown ratio; high flow stability even at low flow rates; low-pulsation characteristics; and risk-free dry running. The QF5kSU model can also be integrated with the Q-Control Integrated Pump Controller to provide users with automated control over their pump operations. Available in four different drive versions, QF5kSU pumps were developed to meet a wide range of process requirements – from integration into fully automated systems to stand-alone applications that require a pump controller.
Quattroflow single-use pumps excel in biopharma applications thanks to a design featuring disposable wetted plastic pump chambers that can be replaced as a complete unit.
