Award-Winning BioProTT™ FlowSU System

The BioProTT™ FlowSU System – recently named a winner of the Processing magazine 2023 Breakthrough Product Award – is an innovative flow-measurement solution for single-use biopharmaceutical applications. Suitable for both upstream and downstream processes, the ultrasonic flow meter consists of a reusable transmitter and a disposable flow sensor for integration into single-use tubing assemblies.

The approach of “Ready. Connect. Flow.” is driven by the ease of integration, smart connection to a host system or pump, and reliable, highly accurate flow-measurement capabilities that feature no obstructions within the flow path while being low maintenance. Integrated air and bubble detection ability adds a further level of safety to biopharma-production processes.

Application

In upstream processes such as buffer and media preparation or cell cultivation, the BioProTT™ FlowSU can provide feedback to a pump or dose feeding processes.

In downstream applications such as depth filtration, tangential flow filtration, in-line buffer formulation, or chromatography, the BioProTT™ FlowSU can be used to hygienically and precisely measure the flow. The flow meter can be easily integrated inline and be combined with different pump types such as the Quattroflow® Single Use Pumps. The integrated air and bubble detection adds safety to air-sensitive applications.

Performance
