The incorporation of single-use pump technologies is a major trend in the pharmaceutical and bioprocessing markets thanks to the growing development of biologically derived drugs.

To maximize the commercial window of these drugs, manufacturers must overcome speed-to-market challenges and single-use diaphragm pumps are an exciting technology that has the capability to help optimize the bioprocessing product-development timeline while offering manufacturers several advantages such as elimination of cross-batch contamination, lower cleaning and sterilization costs, as well as quicker validation of their pumps.

Quattroflow® single-use pumps are equipped with a product-wetted plastic pump chamber that can be replaced as a complete unit for disposal. This simple design feature creates a quicker production process while saving time and money because it eliminates the need for complex sterilization and cleaning validation.

Quattroflow single-use diaphragm pumps also deliver the required levels of product purity and sterility these applications demand, eliminating the chance of harming the product and decreasing the odds of costly cross-batch or cross-product contamination. In addition, single-use pumps reduce downtime between two batches and are quick and easy to change.

A single-use pump chamber can be replaced in less than a minute, and their simple design requires only one tool.

Quattroflow single-use product chambers are made of a solid design in polypropylene. And based on market demands for a more cost-effective choice, Quattroflow pumps are available with plastic pump chambers made of injection molded polyethylene (QF1200SU pump sizes).

Quattroflow single-use pumps are available in a variety of sizes – QF150, QF1200, QF2500, QF4400 and QF5050 (arranged in order of flow capacity). The smallest size, QF150, comes with a standard integrated controller. For all other sizes, a separate control box is available. In addition, the sizes QF1200 and QF4400 are also available in a space saving compact version with an integrated controller and high turndown ratio (QF1200SU-CV, QF1200SU-HT, QF4400SU-HT).

Quattroflow single-use QF150 and QF1200 pumps can be equipped with the EZ-Set Pump Chamber Replacing System. The EZ-Set's comfortable handgrip design makes replacing a Quattroflow single-use pump chamber very easy and fast – within 30 seconds or less by hand. It is quick, easy, and safe. Proper tightening will be achieved just by visual guide and no torque wrenches are needed.
